Vewin, the association of the ten Dutch drinking water companies, represents the common interests of its utility members in The Hague and in Brussels.
The water companies provide drinking water of outstanding quality and pay much attention to providing sustainable and efficient services.
In addition to their core task, the Dutch water companies are extensively involved in capacity building initiatives in less developed regions to contribute to MDG 7C.

European Benchmarking Cooperation

The European Benchmarking Co-operation (EBC) is a not-for-profit partnership established by the Dutch and Nordic national water associations Vewin, DANVA, Norsk Vann and Svenskt Vatten.
EBC facilitates water- & wastewater utilities in their continuous efforts to improve their services by offering an (international) benchmarking programme and providing a platform to exchange knowledge and best practices in management and operations.
EBC annually runs benchmarking exercises for water- and wastewater activities. The programme targets primarily at European water utilities, however utilities from abroad that are interested in improving water services are welcome to participate too.
