About Huub van Haelen:
Huub joined GGNI in 2010, after a 4 year assignment with Dutch gas transport company Gasunie where he led the “Norwegian Gas” project, acquiring the landing of the than planned Norwegian GNE pipeline in the Netherlands, leading commercial negotiations with launching customers in the Gasunie/Vopak LNG receiving facility GATE and leading the public affairs of the 1200 km offshore pipeline project “Nord Stream” from Russia to Germany to acquire necessary permits.
Van Haelen started his career with Shell as Marine Engineer on oil tankers in 1977, moved to Shell’s oil & gas upstream business in 1983, where he was entrusted leading positions in production, maintenance and project management both in the upstream and in the midstream sector in the Netherlands and in Norway. Subsequently held leading positions with worldwide operating service companies in the shipping and in the oil & gas sector. He is a graduate in Marine Engineering and Business Administration.
